Denim Favorites
If there’s one thing I’ll admit to buying too much of, it’s denim. I have those tried-and-true pairs that I’ve worn for the past decade (not an exaggeration), but nothing beats the feeling of a fresh pair. And I always find myself experimenting with the most current shapes and styles each year. I really believe denim has the power to elevate an (otherwise boring) outfit while making me feel my best, so I’ve rounded up a list of my go-to pairs - some new, some that have withstood the test of time:
1. London Crop by SLVRLAKE
These have that crop that hits just right for most heights. The shape is so perfectly neutral and is proven to last throughout the never ending pendulum of the skinny to wide-leg trends. They also pair well with just about any shoe, making them my “all around perfect denim.”
2. The London by SLVRLAKE
If crop isn’t your thing or the London Crops are hitting halfway down the shins, this is your pair. I love them for all the same reasons, but with added length.
3. Miro in Bravo by Citizens of Humanity
The Miro jean offers a more relaxed fit. They’re a tapered barrel leg silhouette and I personally love them with sneakers and an oversized blouse (as pictured on the model) or an easy tee.
4. Hero in Stones Throw by SLVRLAKE
If you can’t tell by now - I’m a big fan of SLVRLAKE. If you haven’t tried the brand, I can’t recommend it enough! Every pair of denim I own of theirs fits like a glove. The Hero is the perfect wash and are probably the pair I reach for the most when it comes to everyday wear.
5. Ryder High Rise Cuffed - Countdown by Pistola
If you’re a fan of the cuffed hem, these are your girls. I love styling this pair with pumps and a blazer for an easy yet sophisticated look for dinner or a work outing.
6. Wes High Rise Barrel - Transcend by Pistola
These are a newer-to-me style, but out of all of the barrel jeans that I own, this pair takes the cake. The wash, the fit - they go with everything and win the award for most comfortable!
7. Grace Jeans by SLVRLAKE
In my opinion, a classic pair of cream or white denim cannot be topped, and these are the perfect wide-leg look that can be styled with sandals, sneakers, heels, you name it. They are a staple in my closet during those sunnier months, and I’ve actually found myself pairing them with sweaters and layers this winter!
8. Marcelle Low Slung Cargo by Citizens of Humanity
Back on the horseshoe style, this green pair from Citizens of Humanity is a must for the upcoming spring season. I can already picture them on repeat with an easy white tee, sweater tossed over the shoulders and my go-to sneakers.
9. Marlow Vintage Shorts by Citizens of Humanity
I’ll end with my favorite pair of denim shorts since those 95-degree summer days will be here before we know it. My top priority when it comes to denim shorts is always comfort because there is nothing worse than having them too tight or too short when you’re already a little sticky from the sun. I can confidently say these check every box and will be your go-to summer pair!
